Course Description Our Michigan Class C course is accepted in the State of Michigan. Our course, combined with on-site training is a good way to provide training to Class C UST Operators. Some states require on-site training. This course provides the Class C UST Operator an overview of the training needed to respond to emergency conditions at underground storage tank (UST) facilities. Our Class C Operator Course and Certification provides training on the following: Introduction to a generic UST facility including the major fuel system components and emergency equipment The roles and responsibilities of the Class A, B and C Operators. Site-specific emergency procedures development Emergency contact procedures Safety awareness for employees and customers Monitoring of the UST facility Overfill prevention Fire safety and introduction to fire extinguishers Alarm panel recognition and response procedures Fuel spill containment and cleanup State-specific hazardous materials incident reporting procedures At the end of the course, a 10 question exam is administered and you will be required to answer 8 out of 10 questions correctly to be certified. When you pass the exam, you will be able to download your certificate of completion from the student log-in page also known as the student dashboard. Requirements Of Class C Training A Class C operator is an employee and is, generally, the first line of response to events indicating emergency conditions. This individual is responsible for responding to alarms or other indications of emergencies caused by spills or releases from UST systems. This individual notifies the Class B or Class A operator and appropriate emergency responders when necessary. Not all employees of the facility are necessarily Class C operators. This individual typically and at a minimum must be trained to: Control or monitor the dispensing or sale of regulated substances, and Take action as the initial response to emergencies: Situations posing an immediate danger or threat to the public or to the environment and that require immediate action. Alarms caused by spills or releases from a UST system. Notifying appropriate authorities including the Class A or B UST system operator. Read more
Our New Mexico Class AB Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) Operator Training Course is approved by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) Petroleum Storage Tank Bureau (PSTB). New Mexico requires operator training for all regulated petroleum underground storage tanks (USTs) and aboveground storage tanks (ASTs). It covers PST operator classifications, PST systems, PST operation, PST release detection, financial responsibility and investigation and reporting of suspected and confirmed releases from PSTs. The training includes video-based slides from our most senior UST operator trainer. It will keep track of your progress so that you can finish it at your own pace. State of Ohio Requirements Per Ohio State Regulations, the Class A and Class B UST Operator Training Certificates must be separate certificates. In order to accomplish this, this course contains 2 parts. The first part is the course with an exam. Once passed you will receive your Class A UST Operator Certificate. The second part of the course is a survey. The survey must be completed in order to receive your separate Class B UST Operator Certificate. Course Description This course is designed to prepare prospective Class A and B Underground Storage Tank Operators to take the State of Ohio Class A and B Operator Evaluation at the end of the course. The course utilizes visual aids and instructor-led videos to facilitate the efficient and comprehensive learning of the subject matter required to meet the regulations for an Ohio UST Class A or B Operator. The training and certification course has been approved by the Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR), Division of State Fire Marshall, State of Ohio Department of Commerce, for becoming certified as a Class A and Class B UST Operator in Ohio. Learning Objectives The overall objective is to educate the prospective Class A or B operator on the State of Ohio and USEPA Federal Regulations governing the operation of underground storage tanks. The training is specific to the state’s regulations and will consist of several lessons. At the end of the training, with successful completion of the 20 question evaluation, students will receive their Certificate of Completion.
