Utah Class A and B UST Operator Certification

Course Description

This web-based course is designed to train Class A and B Underground Storage Tank Operators. This self-paced course allows the student to start and pause the training during its delivery. The course must be completed within 6 months of its start. The course utilizes visual aids and audio commentary to facilitate the efficient and comprehensive learning of the subject matter required to meet Utah's state regulations for a UST Class A or B Operator. Following the training, a 50-question, online exam will be administered to gain your Class AB Operator Certification. The training course and exam has been approved by the State of Utah Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Environmental Response and Remediation as preparation for the Utah Class A or B Operator Exam.

• Release reporting, confirmation, and corrective action

Learning Objectives

The overall objective is to educate the prospective Class A or B operator on the State of Utah and USEPA Federal Regulations governing the operation of underground storage tanks. The course will prepare operators for the Class AB UST Operators for the online, 50-question exam.

Testing

There is a quiz at the end of each lesson. Students are required to pass each quiz (at least 75% correctly answered questions) prior to advancing to the next lesson. The quizzes are designed to prepare the prospective operator for the State of Utah Class A or B Operator Exam, which must be applied for and taken separately from this course.

Course Completion

Upon completion of the course, a Certificate of Completion can be downloaded. Prospective operators must register with the State of Utah within 30 days of completion of this training by submitting the Utah Class AB Operator Registration Application.
